Pep is the most intelligent coach there is, and intelligent coaches will never stick to tactics for the sake of it
I think this physicality, duels, more open Pep's style is more about posturing rather than "this is how we play now". I think he still want to pin the opposition back but due to more and more teams play man to man, he can't use his usual approach and use the seemingly counter intuitive one. He's basically saying "Look, if you're continue to play man to man, I also have these new threats, so what it's gonna be, sit back or deal with my new threats? (please sit back)".

What a good presenter. 👍
Singing Of Pep Linders Helps to use counter attacks since Liverpool used to do this under Klop
Doc pep is master of the games , develop , improved , versatility for players to play different position today you don't have to realized on players to play a certaint position , doc pep gives this young talented lad responsibility to express themselves , work in progress towards perfection , don't be surprised citizens every trophies is on the line best of luck
Pep's at it again!
For a foootball dunce that I am, it was clear that early in the season we lacked speed, physicality, diversity, and tackling ability as we hardly did so. Now we are moving the ball much faster, less tiki taka in more games, and of course more physicality and diversity. We still need to close down plays much quicker, especially. In the middle but I do like that fact that we are competing for more aerial balls and is a bit more physical. I love the speed and tenacity of Khusanov over all other defenders, love the ball IQ of Guehi. Need RAN to improve with his speed and decision making while going down the left wing and for Semenyo to improve on his 1st tough as he’s stretching a bit too much so need to keep the ball chore to him.
Which tactical story should Jacob look at next week?
Thank you for this upload
Pep for us man city for life
Where do you find that data ie man city are 3rd in attempts on counters this season?
The return of Wengerball
Up the toon ❤
not sure you can count cheating at every club he's ever been at, as "tactics" tbf.
Very good video. The only thing missing is the influence of Pep Ljinders on Pep Guardiola. The swift transitions and reliance on physical attributes is reminiscent of Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool
Very interesting. Im a Manchester United fan, however im intrigued by the transitional change in the style of citys play, it was definitely evident at elland road yesterday. They say the best always change with the times
I loved the way you brak it down you’re the best honestly you’re GOAT
Great vid 🙏🏼
The breakdown at 2:12 doesn’t make sense to me. Semenyo carries inside and then it’s said “Newcastle don’t have the bodies to manage both Haaland and Semenyo”. But they do. There’s literally 5 defenders in that space against 2 attackers. That play is literally just Semenyo beat a man one on one and then played a through ball. I don’t see any special tactic there. There’s no overload, there’s no one making an off the ball run to drag defenders around it’s literally just a good dribble move and a through ball.
