Download FotMob: https://click.fotmob.com/974672417/FootballMeta NEC Nijmegen are building one of the most aggressive attacking structures in Europe. This video breaks down how the system creates constant vertical pressure, but also why it is extremely risky in transition, often exposing huge spaces and isolated defenders. Is it controlled aggression, or a structural gamble? We call the style Dickie-taka in Holland 😂😂
Pure chaos, clearly a coach who was sick of facing man to man marking and just said fuck it
This is a re-incarnation of total football. The whole team is on the same wave lenght
They just made the cup final beating Peter Bosz's eindhoven 😂
Dutch managers revolutionise football yet again
The philosophy of 'as long as you score more goals then your opponent'. I love it
Ok, but how do I make this system in Football Manager?!
You forget one vital thing. The players of NEC are extremely fit. They can play this gane 90+ minutes. In many games they scored the winning goals in the last 15 minutes due to this fitness. They also have a less amount of injuries then other teams. So the training given by Schreuder is very essential for the team and its performance. Schreuder does not capitalize on his tactics. No matter which opponent he keeps playing the same game. After 3 games every opponents coach knew how NEC would play. Critics say that throwing the ball over te last defense of NEC with fast forwards in your team would easily beat NEC. But he we are at 3 quarter of the season and they are in the cup final and in 3rd place. They never ended higher then 5th place.
im a PSV fan, but NEC has been great. And im glad you made a video about them. They recently knocked out PSV out of the cup and it was fully justified. They had PSV by the balls the entire match. This weekend PSV can claim the title, but face NEC again and Im not confident.
It looks more like Simone inzagi tactics but with more freedom and no structure
I will call this kind of football 'Football minimalism' Just players running around and direct balls and put ball in net
Inzaghismo on steroids. Or tripping on acid.
I think this is a variation of Rinus Michels' Total Football, and should not be used by a team at their caliber. BUT the fact that commit so deeply into it is admirable, and the result so far is quite effective. Imagine if this strategy is used by top players with good teamwork.
It's almost a basketball mentality when it comes to making a pass, then moving into open space with another player shifting into his previous area. Jay Wright's teams at Villanova University are probably the best example of this. Four players around the 3 point line who are interchangeable with one player near the basket
This only works with 'ego-less' teams that are willing to work for each other and not their own stats. No superstars.
まさかのNEC、そして佐野に注目は嬉しいね
Cruyff would be proud of his countrymen!
As a Dutchman, I’m reminded of something Ruud Gullit said a few weeks ago (paraphrasing): “Modern football looks like managers want to control every single action. Players aren’t really playing football anymore — they’re playing statistics.” This tactic feels like it completely counters that idea. You can't give your striker a handout of 25 pages how to defend against NEC. Just football being football again.
Schreuder has been the Castellón (at Spain second division) manager for the last two or three seasons. Honestly, La Liga Hypermotion is one of the most interesting leagues at the moment, with Castellón, Racing and Málaga playing one of the most interesting styles in this last year. As you did with Racing, I´d love to se more spanish second division in the channel. As always, great video!
NEC has been and still remains in my heart from the day I was born. This season has been so much fun. We’re fighting for 2nd or third and we already reached the cup final. Nijmegen will go mad and celebrate for at least a week when we win the final. 😊 ❤️💚🖤
