Jess has wanted a Pontiac Trans Am for as long as I've known her. So when it came time for our honeymoon, I decided to surprise her with the ultimate wedding gift: a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am. There's just one problem... This Trans Am has been sitting for nearly 20 years. It's rusty. It's neglected. And nobody knows if it can be trusted to drive around the block, let alone make a 1,600-mile road trip home. Bought from our friend Chris Birdsong, this forgotten Pontiac needs everything from fuel system work to general resurrection before we can point it toward home and hit the road. Can we turn this long-forgotten Trans Am into a reliable honeymoon car? Or will our wedding gift leave us stranded somewhere in the desert? Join us as we try to bring this classic Pontiac back to life and prepare it for the ultimate test: a 1,600-mile honeymoon road trip. ► Try MOTOR PURR today and save 10 percent with code MPTEN% https://www.motorpurr.com ► Join the Low Buck Club to see ALL VIDEOS EARLY! https://www.youtube.com/@PoleBarnGarage/join • Get Pole Barn Garage Merch: https://polebarnmerch.com • Follow @PoleBarnGarage on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/polebarngarage/ • Join Pole Barn Garage on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/164978548364151 ► Support Our Partner(s): • @RoadkillCustoms https://m.RoadkillCustoms.com and https://Roadkill.Store ► Thank you so much for being here; every single one of you is appreciated! #abandoned #junkyard #revival #chevrolet #chevy #willitrun #revival #restorationproject

Hey Dalton, congratulations to you and your bride! May you guys live happily ever after!
What a Journey. You and Jess had a busy last month. From the YouTuber Challenge, to the Ford Elite, cross country drive, got married, built a cool Pontiac and got Jess her first real muscle car. Well done Dalton. I've been a low buck member for a few years now, we have never met, but I feel like I know both of you really well. Hope to change that someday. Great video Dalton and congrats Jess! Your Pontiac T/A is super cool!
A Birdsong and dammit Derek cameo,it don't get any better.
In the late 1940s, standard overhead-valve V-8 engines utilized heavy, expensive forged or cast-iron rocker arms mounted on a shaft assembly across the cylinder head. The Breakthrough: Clayton Leach designed a much simpler, cost-effective rocker arm stamped from sheet metal that pivoted on a single ball stud mounted on the cylinder head, rather than a bulky shaft.Proving the Concept: Leach initially developed the parts in his home basement machine shop. Pontiac's manufacturing experts initially deemed the design impossible to produce. Leach brought in his garage tooling and a prototype, demonstrating its viability.Adoption: The design was patented and eventually became an industry standard Cool Pontiac fact of the day.
Jess is joy incarnate. She's the perfect woman for you Dalton, may you make each other laugh for decades to come.
You should do a calendar of your cars at old abandoned gas stations!
