I can't wait for global!
To clarify you get a Mega Level 1 Mewtwo (fully cooldown) so you can mega right away but can't do it twice - you will be able to get mega energy during global go fest & on your park day's for the in-person events to mega evolve your mewtwo's
For those going to any of the in person events, I'd reccommend making sure you walk out of the event with a Mewtwo that has at least 1 level on both of it's X & Y Mega forms so you can walk it to earn Mega Energy for both Mega Mewtwo's. You'll need a LOT of Mega Energy to get the most out of it. It costs 15,140 Mega Mewtwo energy just to get it from Mega Level 1 to Supermax one of it's 2 forms.

Upcoming a few in game events in Pokemon Go looks definitely UNDERRATED !!! There are Blanche Quest of Knowledge! Spark Caretaking Quest! Candela Quest of Victory! This event had been done for entire Spring Season in 2021, then Scopely and Niantic repeat all this in every week Pokemon Festivals 2026 in person event!!!
