Ah, just what I want to hear from a host I'm visiting: "Welcome, wipe your feet, and good luck. But first, come with us to the shed."
A Tip Pick up the allowance before going to draft the outside room. It doesn't cost any steps to pick up the allowance and then you don't have to make two trips if you get the shrine.
8:44 I really like this box puzzle, because it has two completely different solutions that it's impossible to distinguish between, but in both of them the gems are in the same box.
10:23 this parlor game is quite fun, its not actually about finding out what is the true/false boxes, because it works either way! if the black box were to be false, the other two boxes have the same statement, so both of them would have to be true, so it would have to be in the black box (otherwise all 3 would be true) if it were to be true, its the reverse. other 2 are false, so its on the black box. quite a few of these parlor games are flawed, but this one was nice!
The parlor game at 10 min was fun to me, because while you can deduce where the gems are, you can't deduce which boxes where true/false. If blue is true, then white is true too, meaning that black must be false since there must be at least one of each. Since black's statement is false, the gems must be in a false box. Since black is the only box that's false in this scenario, the gems are in the black box. If blue is false instead, then white must also be false, meaning that black must now be true. Since black's statement is true, the gems must be in a true box. Since black is the only box that's true in this scenario, the gems are in the black box.
3:20 Don't forget the unwashed turnips!
16:58 This, _this_ is why I love the Observatory so.
i swear i want to scream every time they think they are ordering things to the mail room on the terminal.
GAME CHANGER MENTIONED 🥳‼
One of these days they'll read the specific wording on the Special Orders page. But that day is not Day 16!
It’s amazing how often people miss the instruction page on the wall that’s already in the pump room.
How many rooms? 46. How many bathrooms? 1.
I think it's worth it more often than not to open a locked trunk, even if it costs you a key. Most of the contents (aside from pure coin rewards, and even those can be turned into keys with a lucky shop room) are worth more than keys, and in ~50% of the cases you are likely to get something key-like back among other rewards. I also try to always reach the corner rooms (file 1 and 5) from the Entry Hall on rank 1 instead of choosing a room that leads directly to rank 2 on file 2 or 4. This lets you benefit from any room with a straight path in order to get there. Trying to reach the outer wall of the house by drafting north from file 2 or 4 requires more luck with the door orientation of the draw. And moving along the outer wall in general yields more consistent results because it limits the possible orientation of doorways in the drafted rooms; for example 3-door-rooms drawn at the outer wall will always have one exit facing north. It also gives more space to avoid possible conflicts/wasted exits with rooms placed along the central file of the house.
You guys need to reread how special orders work.
I cannot believe they haven’t gotten the [redacted] or the [redacted] yet!
Come on Office
Someday they will read the instructions for special orders again and see that they go to the commissary.
YOOO new Blue prince lets Goooooooo
You always seem to fill the house bottom up, but you get more, at least rarer, rooms further into the house. It might be worth considering going deep and then maybe backtracking later on, if possible, by filling from the top down. As for the gem puzzle at 10:30 - Blue says there are 2 true boxes, white says blue is true, black says the gems are in a true box. If blue is true, then white must also be true, thereby requiring black to be false. The only hint you have to the gems position is that they are *not* in a true box, meaning the gems have to be in the black box. If blue is false, white is also false, and since you need at least 1 true box, that means black is true, and the gems are therefore in the only true box, which is black. No matter how you read the puzzle, the gems are always going to be in black
The pacing makes this feel comfortable to watch without becoming boring or overwhelming.
