Well done Carrisa however, technically Sawyer faced the white water every time she turned which to me, is far more technical than just hitting the lip and straightening out. I think the technical complexity needs to be taken into consideration, as it takes a lot more balance and control to do that while still positioning yourself for the next hit. I think the one wave Sawyer had was underscored, but I could view it multiple times and not under pressure or real time. But great heat from two great surfers.
Air game is a core competency of all CT surfers: judges PLEASE raise the bar to get scores amplified. We want to see speed, power and flow--not just a boring huck-a-thon to get a score...
