I've warned about this for years. When cars can be controlled by an external agency, you are no longer in control.
Anyone dumb enough to buy such garbage absolutely deserves to be totally ripped off by the manufacturers.

I would NEVER buy a car that needed a subscription for anything. I cannot believe anyone thought that was a good idea.
I drive my 12 years old 2 litre diesel BMW. And I have no incentive to switch it to any modern one.
Best way for BMW to achieve net zero is to go out of business.
