My uncle was a mechanic and I wanted to be the same. When I was around five I was walking with my mum, past a guy with his bonnet up so I stopped to look at the engine. My mum explained that I was obsessed with cars and wanted to be a mechanic. He gave me a 10mm spanner and told me that was the first of my kit. Still have it 46 years later.

What made me pick up the spanners? My grandfather was a fixer upper for the Indian air force 😁

I loved cars since the age of 14. YouTube and games helped me reinforce the want to become a mechanic. Then I went to trade school and now I've been a mechanic for 10 years now

Left school at 15 1965 had an uncle who was a mechanic. Another uncle got me into a Citroen dealership. Loved it esp the futuristic DS ended up as a service manager.
