A heated debate breaks down the pros and cons of raising minimum wage. Some argue workers need higher pay just to survive. Others believe dramatic increases could hurt businesses, raise prices, and pressure the middle class. But without wage protections… what stops companies from underpaying workers? This debate gets REAL about economics and fairness.

If we didn’t have to please shareholders the minimum wage would’ve gone up decades ago.
"it will cost everything to go up' federal minimum wage hasn't gone up in almost 20yrs and the cost for EVERYTHINGs still gone up. Their willing to let war raise prices but not pay someone
Raising the minimum wage doesn’t entirely effect a specific person, it honesty makes more money and attracts better talent.

If you have a business then raising minimum wage will create job cuts. Less workers will be doing more work or automation will replace people in different sections. To his point better employees will always command better wages. Talent is what grows your business.

Road to wealth. Learn a skill, make yourself valuable amongst the masses (life is really a competition for the limited resources). Earn more than you need to live and save !! Save save save invest We should focus on that. Not the minimum wage
Super easy answer to the question, everyone looses. Raising minimum wage has only ever briefly increased the number of people making minimum wage. Less than 3% of all hourly workers currently make minimum wage last time they increased it that number shot from 1.9% over 5%. After the market corrects the dollar is worth less and the same demographics of people are making the minimum but now they have more dollars that are worth less
Ridiculousness from people who don’t understand the economy. If it’s raised the only thing that will happen is what’s already happening but faster. Which is computerizing manual labor. They forced higher wages in California and now a robot is doing that warehouse job, fast food job , or AI is doing that customer service job. A business won’t pay more they’ll just figure out how to cut those jobs.
The market decides, if workers think the wage is not worth it they will not work there. We live in a free society where you can do that. When employers have to compete for labor the prices always goes up.
Why stop at there?
Just print the money, bbrrrrrrrrrrrr
Federal minimum wage should be about $12 an hour, based on inflation. From there it's going to be a state situation as to what is appropriate.
