Cuc Phuong forest butterflies only fly for a few weeks a year - but that is the moment the whole ecosystem breathes together. They absorb minerals, pollinate, and then die to nourish the soil. Short but perfect.

My name is Robert Charpentier, age 76. I served for three years n the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. I was in the 1st Infantry Division and for two full years I was in South Vietnam, initially as a combat medic and for 18 months as an Official U.S. Army war correspondent out of the bases at Di-An and Lai-Khe. I hiked through the most incredible jungles while on patrol and I once even saw a Southeast Asian tiger. It was an incredible experience. Rob
