I have an idea for an FM challenge, although im not sure if its been done before or not - win a European trophy with any club, while playing outside of the top flight and qualifying to Europe via winning the domestic cup. Try doing a save where you try to get Lincoln into the Premier League but you're allowed to work for anyone in the world except for Lincoln – buy players from them, loan players to them, sabotage their rivals and throw meetings with them.
Here's a challenge I like to call "The Double" Win a league title with any squad (for example Man City), and then you have to go to a different club (say, Real Madrid), sign the EXACT squad you won the league with, and then win a second league title... It's interesting bc it gives you a potentially short time frame due to various things (i.e. players rejecting you, retirement, funds etc) to win... it's best if you win the league in the first season, but if you win in say... season 5, you could change tactics and have signed players on short term contracts to make it easier etc...
I think that if you only sold like one or two important players every season the collapse would have been slower because that last season you basically had a -5 net player change
