just a tip for anyone doing a build or repair, once something is "done" put some grease on it, cover the nuts and bolt head and especially threads also brake lines. In the good old days one of our most common jobs was, "clean and grease brake pipes". The grease attracts road dirt and crud like crazy BUT underneath the threads etc will be like new. no more seized nuts, save yourself a whole world of headaches!

My unknowing part in the history of the Ranalah. In 1975, I started an apprenticeship as a sheet metal worker in a coachbuilding company on the south coast (of England). In one corner of our delapidated shop was a mostly unused Ranalah, us sheeties just referred to it as the ‘English wheel’. However there was one person that used to know how to use it and who used to make all the moulds for the vehicles we produced in glass-fibre. I was always astounded by his workmanship, he was an absolute genius; it was rumoured that he’d made aluminium bodies for F1 cars in the 50s.
Dom, nice to see series one coming back together. Please make sure you put suitable anti-vibration tubing between brake lines where they cross the chassis.
