Union Bordeaux-Begles are the back-to-back Champions of Europe (And South Africa). A dominant, comprehensive performance smashing a Leinster star stuck still hunting that fifth star. We go deep into how Bordeaux dominated the game, what Leinster got wrong, and just how good is this UBB team?! Have you guys heard that Andrew Porter has a book ? If not, you should pick up a copy and review it please. 👀
That damn French tv director making Leinster throw intercept passes
I LOVE level of effort for a one line "Andrew Porter had a quiet game joke," and you guys' countless subtle jokes you put in generally. Feels like exactly the kind of thing YouTube analysis allows over other formats, long live Squidge
That moment when you realise the Scarlets put in a better performance against UBB in this tournament than Leinster
Shame you boys won’t be able to read Andrew porters new book as I hear copies are really hard to find
Did Andy Goode allow this video 🤔😂
Watching Leinster lose is how i imagine everyone felt wanting Arsenal to lose feels
Have you guys heard that Andrew Porter has a book ? If not, you should pick up a copy and review it please. 👀 ....
It took me way to long to notice all the Andrew Porter books spawning, a very uncanny experience
Porter appearing like Batman
I love this extra pass principle as a way to attack the sa defense
Great analysis. I think you undersold the degree to which Leinster shot themselves in the foot. Individual errors kept putting the team back under pressure. I don't like calling out individual players, but there's no way of sugarcoating it; Harry Byrne's mistakes were monumental. Congrats to UBB.
I've struggled to find a copy of Andrew Porter's new book
Shame this game wasn't broadcast in England
THAT WAS A COMPLETE HUMILIATION, KUMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON UBB!
It used to be that if you go wide so often you would be more likely turned over. It seems like in the last few years though this is no longer the case? What happened?
Choice of venue and kick off time, more than anything.
Jalibert, Penaud, and Bielle-Biarrey are on 2.5 million a year combined. Leinster's marquee central contracts are pretty much on a descending scale by distance from Tadhg Furlong. For all the idea that Leinster are an attacking side, it doesnt seem like much has changed culturally in the professional era. In the end France (and New Zealand) are always building ball playing rugby teams for sunny May days in Bilbao. Not that they dont focus on defence/forwards/etc, but culturally the other bits are a sort of necessary evil to allow the "real" rugby to happen. And Irish/British teams peak right up until the sun comes out, and the 7 aside play begins.
andrew porter more books on the shelf then he as trophies!
Can't go wrong with the French when it comes to physicality whether it's rugby, Judo or sailing possibly football in a few weeks.
