Alot of people are saying spending beyond mean, the reality is they are spending within their means then when career is overthey aren't making any money, when your paycheck goes from $2.5 million a year to $0 your savings starts draining. To try to avoid this alot of athletes try to make investments, but not every investment is a winner, more businesses fail than they succeed. Its easy to hate from the outside or tell someone what they should be doing

Live within your means. Treat that money like your never getting that again, work on your game enough to warrant a new contract. These guys man. Some people work there whole lives to get to 3 mill in there life time of working and these guys get it in 5 years then complain that its not enough to live on the rest of there lives when they have the time when the league might possibly push them out.
