SAS: Rogue Heroes Season 2, Episode 5 continues the unit’s campaign in Italy, with the SAS under pressure from senior command while David Stirling prepares another escape attempt at Gavi. In this scene, the men finally hear what happened to the team that went toward La Spezia. The answer is grim: Foster, Shortall, Dudgeon, and Brunt were captured, and the order regarding SAS prisoners was carried out. The news also reaches the partisans, where one was wounded and another ran in to save her, only for both to be lost. The moment is quiet, but it lands hard. After so much sarcasm and bravado, Dave and Reg’s line — “I’m glad we’re us” — feels like a small attempt to hold on to whatever is left between them. Then the tone shifts again. Paddy tells the men the mission is complete, Italy is being left to the ordinary soldiers, and the Special Air Service is going home. It is not a clean victory scene. The relief of going home comes right after the cost of the mission is named, which makes the ending feel heavier and more honest. In the U.S., SAS: Rogue Heroes Season 2 is currently streaming on fuboTV, MGM+ Amazon Channel, MGM Plus Roku Premium Channel, MGM Plus, Philo, and Spectrum On Demand. JustWatch currently lists no free streaming option for Season 2. #SASRogueHeroes #SASRogueHeroesSeason2 #Episode5 #PaddyMayne #RegSeekings #DaveKershaw #LaSpezia #WWIIDrama #WarDrama #MilitaryDrama #shorts #movie 📌Disclaimer:This video is a fan-edited short made for entertainment and commentary purposes under fair use. Did you know there are still 130 sas still missing from world war 2 there bodies have never been found they were executed by the Gestapo and other units off the German army may they rest in peace you will be never forgotten and thank you so much for your service
"Im glad we're us" is still used post-op by 22 to this day.
Paddy Mayne: "We leave Italy to the ordinary soldiers now": ...Send in the Canadians 🍁🇨🇦
Sas should have been allowed to track down the firing squad and eliminated them
I love how the two they shown being executed had expressions of calm resignations, almost one of "yeah yeah, get on with it."
Every ounce of my being would track them SS down
So many relationships are exactly captured in this short. When you think it, you see and. You could prob find easily 50 lessons in this short. Thanks creators.
Those last Paddy May lines seemed a Paradigm Shift from the previous.
Does anyone know what uniform they’re wearing here ? Looks amazing.
Love this show, but they do gloss over the fact that the S.A.S. actually learned their tactics from the Long Range Desert Group, who were mostly Kiwis. In fact the LRDG did most of the route scouting for the S.A.S. because they were even crazier than Paddy Mayne and co.
Is that Royce Dupont!?!
Sas were to be shot on sight because of the horrific warcrimes they did in Africa, it was so brutal it made hitler remember them
My late grandfather (WW2 RAF incidentally) was, like Paddy Mayne, from County Down, and he would have pissed himself at Jack O’Donnell’s ridiculous accent 😂
That's why take no ss prisoners Russians had the right idea....but Russians were just as bad .still are
I am amazed that the SAS is able to fight a war and still stay so CLEAN. Bravo, lads.
cloaked space ship shooting off in the other direction, if the the footage is even real.
Somethin tells me he didn't mean Edinbura
SAS with red caps? Thought they were sand coloured?
Pity that they disrespect the real characters by not wearing their berets correctly.
These guy were terrorist, people forget that France didn’t surrender they joined Germany.
