I went to the thrift store and bought an old quilt rack. It's not a giant chair in the middle of my room, but it fits neatly against the wall and I have my day old clothes folded nicely on it. Cost me $5.00.

now if you extended one of the arms, and made it slightly bigger, you'd have a swing away desk so you could have a spot to rest your laptop/tea/book and swing it away to get out of the chair.......where have I seen that before? star trek?

The problem isn’t nowhere to put clothes on chair cleanly. The problem is space exists to delay tasks so space will be used. Therefore this only temporarily delays the work instead of solving it. It’s just an overflow zone that’ll fill up, conceal clothes preventing the fix, and the original problem will then continue to exist anyway.
