Hey Derek! I’VE GOT YOUR DINING ROOM SET AND IT’S FREE! My mom and dad purchased it new in 1966 from a very quaint and very old-timey furniture store called The Cottage Beautiful that was located on Route 17 in Paramus NJ. It’s Rockport Maple and the style back then was called Early American. Very large table the extends to 120 inches, has two captains arm chairs and six side chairs (large family). Also includes wood grained table pads and two large matching china hutches. It was mom’s pride and joy as it was the first and only dining room furniture she ever had. It’s very solid but may need some touch-ups as it’s been in constant use for 60 years. Mom passed in August of 2000, followed by Dad in July of 2001. I’ve had it since but I’m 64 myself now and need to downsize. I could even be convinced to include a drop-leaf maple table and what may be the absolute coolest table lamp you’ve ever seen. These items were purchased at the same store at the same time and have always been a part of our dining room furniture. The lamp and table were dad’s and as kids we knew better than to touch them! I’ve been undecided about what to do with this furniture because I want it to have a future. I’d be so proud to have it displayed in your museum!!!
Been watching since you were in your garage at your house in MN... pretty wild to see what you and Jess have created over the years. Congrats!
Poor Bentley just polished that hood🤣
Now the new location feels much more appropriate for a VGG museum and gift shop location
Couldn't ask for a more perfect building for a car museum, a former Chevy dealership? Hell yeah.
Derek quit tearing up jessicas car 😂😂😂😂 in the dog house now 😅
Derek better be walking around the dealership in a tan plaid suit, cowboy boots, cowboy hat, and 70s style smoked lens gold wire-frame glasses.
In all my years, that was without a shadow of a doubt, the GREATEST intro to a video I've ever seen!!! I'm 7 min in and had to comment. You just mentioned a tour. Felt like a great tour in the first 2 min already!!!
I remember many years ago when you snuck into an empty car dealership with no power on and you just explored the place with a flashlight. I thought back then that a car dealership building dedicated to your rebuilds would be perfect you. And here we are. Amazing!
Thanks for the tour of the new museum!
2 mins in and realized i had no idea how great that Dew car sounded wide open! Congrats on the new building good sir and your commitment to this!
Now that’s an intro!! Can’t wait to see the rest of it!🛠️
I never believed the milk station could contain VGG Inc. I'm glad you found another space; I hope it takes some stress away. All my best.
Great update Derek. The old building was obviously too small since we first saw it. Congratulations on the new building.
Find the rib guy. It needs to be the Vice Grip Grill😂
At 32:30, those two boxes are actually old telephone boxes. One for each phone line. Made by western electric circa 1940-1950.
A guy needs to find a few 40-50s Chevrolets that were sold original at that dealership and have them restored and in the showroom with original repop window stickers
Congrats Derek, what a dream come true. Well deserved.
be pretty cool to find some cars that were originally sold from that dealership to have on display
Just an idea, but diecast is super popular, having Hot Wheels and Matchbox for sale in the gift shop would probably sell really well. I can’t wait to see the museum one day!
