Interview question - Why were you laid off?

The company had no upcoming projects, so we had to look out for other options, instead of working on the maintenance stuff. The company is not doing good with revenue off late, as mentioned by the CEO in one of our monthly meetings, so they are looking for cost deductions, restructuring and downsizing too. It happened all of a sudden. There was no growth and hike as well.😅

He company found out that there is no difference without me 😢😂😂😂

No employee will get hired, if interviewers keep asking such idiot questions

Just lie if you are ever asked this question. Nobody cares. Just say that your whole department was laid off cause of recession or cook up some other story. Absolutely no one would put in the effort to investigate your story.

Just say I was impacted by a restructuring exercise. If they ask for numbers reduced and all..Just say you arent aware of the numbers as such as that is confidential to management of that org.
