Appreciate the info and commentaries. I have subscribed.
It's not every 5 years for Tesla. It is every year Tesla has job cuts, just not as large, same as most companies, & more of a commentary on poor management hiring decisions and strategic growth practices. Whenever people are involved, POLITICS REIGN. Management will create jobs for friends, hire friends vs. qualified people. The company gets bloated and every year has to streamline. Regarding 5 years, the actual average tenure at most big tech companies is two years. They should use AI to hire based on real needs, company milestones, & goals. AI is only as good as its programming.
I have been working with computers and networks since 1976. The laptop I'm using right now has a number of LLMs for AI study. When I heard you guys talking about Best Buy's Geek Squad, I found myself flinching. I had a hard time believing you were living such insulated lives that you don't understand that 50% or more of Americans have little desire to understand the technology they use. If the apps work, they are happy with what they know. Personally, I don't like the term "geek", because it implies a technical person who doesn't know how to relate to the average person. I know what I know simply because I don't just experience problems, I also try to solve them myself... not always easy! Please DON'T insult those who work with the average person. (And FYI, I live in the Silicon Valley, and there are huge numbers of these average folk here as well!)
