I talk about the hard truth that cybersecurity is not entry level and why skipping foundational IT experience keeps leading to rejection emails. You'll learn why certifications like Security Plus are only the first step and how to use them strategically to land your first IT role. I also explain how building AI powered security projects can separate you from almost every other candidate applying for the same jobs. Finally, I walk through the exact transition plan to move from entry level IT into your first cybersecurity position with real experience and proof of skill. _______________________________________ Connect with me on other platforms Follow me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/symonebeez/ Follow me on Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@symonebeez Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/symonebeez _______________________________________ For business inquiries, you can reach me at: [email protected] *Some of the links and other products that appear on this video are from companies for which Symoné B. What is your suggestion regarding people who are from a non tech background and trying to switch their career to cybersecurity? Can they get into cybersecurity with Security Plus and other certifications? Because to get into the IT roles, which you mentioned, those require IT background. And most jobs require an IT or cybersecurity related educational background as well, which people from non tech background don't have. So what is your suggestion over here? Do you suggest the non tech background people to get required certifications to get into cybersecurity is it actually possible in real life?

Got my A+ Net+ Sec+ with Clearance...this roadmap sounds like it's more for someone who doesn't have the clearance
Can I get a remote job ?
Taking my exam in 2 weeks, coming back here when I pass. remember me OG Two Tone Cybersecurity Mafia blood
I have a degree in cyber security and cant even get any cyber security work.
Perfect explanation Thank you symonebeez ❤️❤️
I appreciate this video, I've been applying to announcements with no luck. I'm currently bouncing between studying for Sec+ and THM SAL1 to double up my training and experience. Yeah know burning the candle at both ends. Helpful with the addition of projects I can plug any gaps. I'm currently working as a digital forensic examiner.
I had to lower my resumé.. I'm sorry

I have my Sec+ and have had it for about a year now and am struggling to find just an entry level IT Support role i don't know what i am doing wrong. help. lol
I passed the SEC 701 today!!!!!!!! There’s no more possibility there’s only truth! You made me believe in myself and now the stars are the limit!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
I’m on step 2 for about a year and a half now. (Working on step 1 now lol). I work an IT support job for mission critical communications systems - emergency dispatch consoles, RF base radios, simulcast systems, and the network infrastructure that makes it all talk (Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, VMs, RHEL servers, domain controllers , etc). I have network+ tomorrow (my employer is paying for it). Gonna be grinding for CCNA and security+ and hope to have both before the end of the year. Gonna do Amazon Solutions Architect cert after that. I really want a network engineering, cybersecurity, or cloud engineer job.
What would you recommend for studying for the Security+ certification? Would the Google Cybersecurity Certificate program give me the skills needed to pass it? Thank you for your excellent video.
perfect roadmap. Thanks
