Got to appreciate the fact Steam openly announces when the game is being review bombed and not only detracts those reviews from the game's overall score but also allows consumers to still see those reviews to form their own opinions. That's a level of transparency I've never seen from any other company when it comes to review bombs.

When GamerGate happened I was in middleschool and now im halfway through college. People talk about Anita like shes the antichrist when she made some mid video essays a lifetime ago 😭

I do not like Anita, but holy hell, she was merely a consultant, not someone who had the final say on everything on the game. It's not like her word was law.

I would say these people need to get a life, but at this point, lives run away from them.

Do I like Anita sarkesian? No, she comes off the same way a used car salesman in the 80's does. She's also shown in the past that she's more than a little sexist and doesn't or at the time didn't care about the actual games industry. Does that dislike stop me from reading that she was not a dev and was an outside consultant on a game and then buying the game anyways? No, she's not a developer for the game she just gave input on some things. And while I have a general dislike for her actions in the past, its not her game, and I would like to think people can change.

To be fair The reason why Anita has such a darkened history with the gaming community isn't just because of gamergate but also because in that series she tends to compare to wildly separate and different instances as if they are the same I think with the most notorious example being she compared Batman to Lara Croft and tried to say Batman was sexist because you couldn't see his butt but you could see Lara Croft's... That being said still not an issue she worked on the game because she has long since moved past that series and grown as a person

People like this get so upset about one video essay someone made 10 years ago and then have the gall to call other people snowflakes. Holy projection, Batman.

Well, from what I understand she actually did do a lot of damage to games reputation in the past, typical insulting players, and demanding changes in the pursuit of "woke" (man i hate using that term but you know what I mean) But the biggest thing that bothers me about her involvement and why I wouldnt like to support her is she stole tens of thousands of dollars from her foundation. Money raised to "further her movement" that she just spent on improving her house and other personal purchases.

The worst part is that SLAY THE SPIRE IS ALREADY "WOKE" ACCORDING TO A LOT OF SOURCES. ARE WE FORGETTING THAT ONE OF THE PEOPLE YOU CAN PLAY IS NOT JUST DISABLED OR A WOMAN, BUT ALSO HAS THE ABILITY TO DENOUNCE RELIGION!

I don't care or like Anita Sarkessian but i wish these people were this vitriolic with actual criminals. You know, the people who started the gamer gate movement.
