With quality third party support on Switch 2 and backlogs I don't mind them slowing down a bit to take time to develop their party games.

All I got to say is I didn't buy the Switch 2 for Switch 1 games, i bought it for Switch 2 games.

As a Zelda nerd we have at least 3 more years before they even announce a release date. Nothing new its why I haven't bought a S2 yet lol

Nintendo is just remake after remake after remake and you all just keep re buying them so they keep doing it absolutely ridiculous. Huge lack of new games

It's not that they just need to have a bunch of games released immediately right off the bat like right now It's the fact that they're just sitting on their hands It's the fact that they started off the year thinking it was a good idea to have a partner showcase instead of a general direct It's the fact that they're not just giving us a road map of what's to come Just teasing stuff even if it's stuff at the end of this year and into 2027 Just giving us stuff to look forward to the next 3D Mario The next Luigi's Mansion 4 a new Star Fox they're so much stuff they could be doing they have so many IPs and and they are just silent it's cool that it can run these third party games but that's just a plus It's a Nintendo system most people didn't spend $500 on this thing because they they couldn't wait to play third party games The majority of people do have more than one console Yes I understand not everyone but yeah I mean I already have all these games on my PlayStation I'm certainly not going to purchase them again so they can take up all the memory on my switch lol I have a PS5 pro Make with the general direct and make with the exclusive games for your Nintendo system already please😅😅😅

last thing i want to see is the players pressuring nintendo to hurry up and make new games for them to be overpriced and unfinished. i’m sure we all have a backlog of amazing games we need to catch up on

Maybe a hot take: There are SO many games for this console. Not specifically Switch 2, but the Switch family has tons of amazing games. I think people who can't find something to enjoy on the system probably need to reassess their relationship with video games in general.

3D Mario 2029

It’s clear that Switch 2 exclusive titles are taking longer to develop than expected. That’s why Smash, Pokemon, Zelda, Mario, Kirby, Xenoblade, Pikmin, Splatoon, Animal Crossing are not coming year 1, and instead, we get a ton of Switch 2 Editions. It’s very obvious to anyone following Nintendo’s history.

I really think Nintendo output is about the same as previous years, the notable exception being last year between the months of April and May due to the Switch 2 being launched. The first 9 months have been about the same in terms of output as Switch 1. And we have already Yoshi confirmed for May, with Tomodachi Life in April. With Tomodachi being bigger than most people have you to believe. Is not a switch 2 exclusive but is a Nintendo platform exclusive. As for other games Nintendo will due a direct when they deem appropriate. And they could easily fill the rest of the months until the fall with Fire Emblem, rhythm heaven, Splatoon Raiders and Dusk Bloods. We are probably going to have at least two more announcements which will fill the rest year nicely. People have to chill and just enjoy playing their games. I get many want 3D Mario but we just have wait for an announcement. In short, yes development is longer but the output has remain the same (and people forget Switch in 2018 was all ports and Smash Bros). Due to the console launching in 2025 as opposed to 2024

I really don’t understand the complaints. The switch 2 has already released a lot of new games and a lot of upgrades. The ps5 and Xbox didn’t have shit for the first 3 years. Like damn we know a general direct is coming. Y’all need to chill tf out

Nintendo is in a better position then Sony and Xbox as they have B and C tear games that can fill gaps. I also see Nintendo bringing back games like Starfox and F Zero along with asking other Developers to make games that are only on switch 2 to fill in some gaps too. I too see a April derict and then only doing two big directs a year then fill the gaps with other directs. 3rd party and Indie games will help out too.
