A species once declared extinct in the wild is making a remarkable comeback—the Przewalski’s horse. But this recovery story is only part of a much bigger and more controversial shift in conservation. With extinction rates accelerating worldwide, scientists are turning to cutting-edge genetic technologies—from cloning to genome editing—to save endangered species and even revive lost ones. From high-tech labs in the United States to frozen “genetic vaults” preserving Earth’s biodiversity, a new frontier is emerging: engineering life itself. But as humanity gains the power to rewrite nature, difficult questions arise. Can technology truly reverse extinction? And more importantly… should it? ►Subscribe – http://goo.gl/wpc2Q1

Ich möchte wieder die Wandertauben sehen ! Solch schöne Tauben !

Playing God is going to cost you
Playing God
Ollie is a clone of Kurt, who was cloned from the cryogenic material from Kuporovic, who died in 1975. Unfortunately it's just an older relative from the exact same genetic ancestry!! All Przewalski's horses in captivity (and now released 'wild' animals) are all descended from just 12 captive animals from 1957. Anyway if it helps then good luck to it all.
Bringing extinct creatures back sounds like a great idea, but you have to bring back the whole ecosystem if its going to work, and that's like an Evil Sudoku puzzle -- every square has to be correctly filled out. Sure, it would be great to see a live Wooly Mammoth again, but fiddling with the genetics is one thing --everything they used to eat, and the whole system that perpetuated them...
Unless we solve the climate crisis None of this will matter.
Attempting to clone an individual seems impractical to me. Better to produce stem cell lines to produce sperm and egg cells that can be introduced in vitro to become embryos with each individual being genetically distinct. Artificial insemination would be even simpler I would think.
maybe the better solution is to stop taking over and obliterating THEIR homes. Do people really need 3-4,000 sq ft homes for 2-4 people? People want yards and then never take care of them so why keep destroying more land. We have enough, just build up not out.
Bad human decision # gazillion billion thousand.
They are, are they? So far, they've brought zero back.
They talked about bringing back the Woolly Rhino and Mammoth decades ago, but still to no avail. Perhaps bringing back the Przewalski’s horse is more feasible, time will tell.
I love how this is what’s being focused on when we’re currently living in the apocalypse
It’s giving Jurassic world vibes I swear if they find T. rex dna and clone a damn T. rex we’re cooked
Its a hybrid thats all it is
Clone a human
I have very mixed feelings on this. The one hand, humans have caused many extinctions of animal species that wouldn't have been extinct otherwise so I think this can be a way to "save" those species. On the other hand, this is not the most ethical thing and cloning technology can be used for nefarious means like in Jurassic World. That's not what should happen
Guns have destroyed this creatures and human exploitation.." but but but Jurassic Park bad" a bullet will get em, Dinos aren't immortal. Doing nothing till animals are extinct are worst though. Doomers are ridiculous. Conservationists approved restoration.. but people in the internet says no.. people like this are why science are held back.. BS mentality. 😂
