0:17 sadly it is. The developers confirmed that the game will have limited area to explore and only a portion of the story will be playable after that all you can do is build. Well I'm not gonna force anything but if you wish you can explore the entire game but again it's a short experience so i would say waiting for full release :) after all we all love subnautica.
