Best example of this was the race from Italy back to the Uk with the Bugatti Veyron vs Cessna. The shots you see the Veyron going through the highways and tunnels were filmed after the race, because after the race- they drove it back to Italy. The driver was the Stig- Ben Collins- he admitted it in an interview and a video with Mike on Drivetribe.

of course, they're just enjoying themselves, I'll bet they don't care about the footage when they're racing, but it's for entertainment so the producer need to get better shoot for the audience 😂
