Brian, we all understand what you're trying to get to however, you're use of analogies / metaphors leave room for the person being asked to personalize it & evade the actual question. Ask direct questions with substance which can be easily substantiated. This removes wiggle room & allows for clear understanding. Your approach is almost as frustrating to listen to as the ose not answering

So, a while back, before we were married, my husband I would go on “$10 dollar dates”. We’d go to the dollar movies on discount night, then head to a fast food place and order off the dollar menu. We’d try to keep the whole night $10 or less. I miss those nights! It’s not even possible anymore. Bums me out.

😂My wedding didn’t even cost that much😂 We had the mayor marry us in our home, gave him $100 (not needed just a thank you). Went to play golf then fished on our boat with our dog and grabbed ribs on the way home! Perfect wedding day.
Last date I went was Like a little sightseeing including icecream ($10) then later Sushi for two including some beer all together around $60 !! Nice date by the way !!
