SOCIAL MEDIA DRAMA/MESS? My MENTAL HEALTH needs to be PROTECTED!

You are absolutely right, Brenda. Social media does distract us from our time studying the Bible and getting closer to GOD. I used to reach for my phone as soon as I got up. Of course I would pray first. Now I pray, turn on my gospel music to set the atmosphere in my home and establish my day. It's now past noon before I look at my phone. I broke that cycle and now spending less time on social media.

Miss Brenda, UR a 100% right. We must get back to the simple basics. And not let the internet control us. 😢 The basics in life today is lost. 😞 The simple easy slow life pace is gone. 😢

Brenda sweetheart you hit the nail on the head with your message today. I had myself a real pity party two days ago and being alone makes it worse. When I prayed and woke up the next morning I went to my garden that was struggling and the Lord gave me a message. My potato and squash plants after weeks both had beautiful yellow blossoms overnight. I took that as a message from the Lord that He has new mercies every day! There are times when we need to be still and meditate on how God is with us always. I’m 78 years old and I remember when we had a land phone with a party line of 4 other families. I still have my electric typewriter from college and my grandchildren looked at it in amazement. All those things you mentioned are so true. Thank you so much. This message was a blessing ❤

Hey Brenda, I'm from that era lol, too much is going on today, but I will not let it take my joy away as long as I have God on my side. Remember hurt people, hurt people, they have nothing else to do and it's a shame. I'm so glad I'm not glued to my phone I tell you what my phone is on the other side of the room at night. I limit myself to social media and I will not allow it to distract me. I don't follow certain people anymore because of their actions and that's ok I can live without it lol. Be blessed
