You've reached the end
Remember to add a color for the better days. A blanket that only shows the depression, manic, or neutral doesn't track the good days
This is kinda cool.. on your healing path, you can add some green too or yellow for clearer days❤
I am not bipolar but if you can knit a row at "very depressed" you are a stronger person than me.
Lavender would be a perfect color to add for good days. It is a mix of all of the other ones and would represent balance.
I wish people would stop commenting saying to track "good" days . Neutral IS the good days. Bipolar moods are not the regular like "oh this was a good day!" Type feelings. They're underlying state conditions that affect our moods, yes, but also our ability to think, accomplish tasks, physical energy.. they're separated into mild and severe dysthymia, eurythmia (neutral), hypomania and mania. I notice people are really quick to explain things and give advice to mentally ill and disabled people when no explanation or advice is sought. It's an impulse that I am trying to supress myself.
You need to add a mood for when you're feeling good/positive! It's good to track those days too
Manic me could handle this, but depressed me would give up immediately.
I have to learn about bipolar bc right away I felt it lacks other feelings like maybe not happiness but at least content but then I thought “who I am to judge what she feels on something idk a thing.”
I don't knit (yet - it's a 2026 goal), but I am here with you as a fellow bipolar woman - this is awesome, subbed!!!!
First 3 seconds I thought you were gonna say "Stake a Vampire".
As someone whos only ever used a childs toob knit machine i wanna knit with big needles it looks fun!
You know what.. I STAND BEHIND THIS!! OMG, more so, than the weather blankets!!😂😂😂❤❤❤ IDC if you're bipolar, or if you've got seasonal depression. 🙏🙏 PLEASE let this be the next KNITTING/CROCHET TREND. pllleeaaasssee. 😂❤
"You need to add a good day colour" none of you know what the point of this is and it shows. I have bipolar. The GOAL is neutral. Mood disorders aren't the same as emotions or quality of a day. Because "depressed" doesnt just mean overly sad, and "manic" doesnt mean overly happy. These are way more complex. This will track overall highs/lows (and i personally would need a purple for mixed episodes), but its a symptom tracker in a fun format. Its about way more than "mood" in the colloquial sense. People in good/bad "moods" dont ruin their life about it. There's a reason its a disorder, after all. Edit: Neutral days = no symptoms. Thats literally it
The ableism in the top comments disgusts me. I'm so sorry that you have so many people offering advice that you didn't ask for on this project. The particular insistence that "you should focus on the good days too ✨😉💃!!" is absurd. It shows a tremendous lack of understanding of bipolar disorder, mental illness, and disability at large. This is a great idea, and I admire the talent it takes to make a blanket. I would love to see a part two. Thank you for sharing. ❤
PART TWO!!!
This is so beautiful, I hope u make it through this path, u could add yellow for when u feel happy 😊 and I hope if u do u can add alot of yellow ...❤️❤️❤️
I'm bipolar too, thanks for ideas on the boring days
I do the same thing for my schizophrenia, except I do it on drawings. But it’s awesome that you are dedicating your time for something that may help you see clearer! ❤
lmao all these people not understanding what bipolar is proud of u, this is v interesting take on it and id love to see more of this! both your journey and the patterns over time!
I feel like this isn't only a healing journey, but also educational for those who don't know what it's like. I feel like seeing it visually will help people understand better and get a future scale just in case. Plus it's a useful thing to have a blanket.
