England aren't the only country with controversial exclusions though, with Portugal turning down the chance to pick West Ham's Mateus Fernandes, Chelsea's Joao Pedro not in Brazil's squad, Mike Godts failing to make Belgium's, Ederson of Atalanta not being picked by Ancelotti and Said El Mala and Anton Stach with Germany. Eh, as an Ajax fan, I am not shocked Mika Godts wasn't selected. He might have good numbers for a struggling Ajax, and he is a good chance later on in his career. But at the moment he has both Doku and Trossard from Man City and Arsenal ahead of him in that position. Who's going to select three left wingers for a squad? Also, I am quite happy about that, because now there is a smaller chance he's going to be snatched away and a lower chance he's going to be injured next season.

You’re wrong on Danilo. We loved him at Forest and was gutted when he broke his leg at the start of last season. Most of us were sad to see him leave last summer - PSR deal with John Textor shock - and are now all be delighted to see he’s played so well at his new club he’s made the World Cup squad.
