The 2 Ways People Handle Someone Else’s VULNERABILITY. When someone is embarrassed, struggling, or emotionally exposed, some people choose to make them feel even smaller, while others quietly protect their dignity without asking for recognition. That difference says everything about character. And in those moments, the way people treat us becomes unforgettable. Real kindness is not loud or performative; it is gentle, respectful, and deeply human. The strongest people are not the ones who never need help, but the ones brave enough to accept compassion without losing themselves. Because sometimes the smallest act of empathy can preserve a person’s dignity when they need it most. Telling her that she’s from New York hit hard
How people treat your vulnerability tells you everything about their character. Some people use your weakest moments to make you feel smaller. The right people protect your dignity when you need it most.
Send that kid to millitary school
Damn Arthur Mitchell really was a good man before he decided to become a serial killer
Trinity stalking another mother of two.
I’m a cashier and this scene makes me wanna gouge that cashiers eyeballs out! I don’t know how many times I’ve had my entire line laughing because my current customer needs to count change or needs to put something back or can’t work the debit card machine…so I distract everyone 😉 There’s no way in hell that person will ever feel bad going through my line if that were to happen to them
"You must be from New York" is spot on!!
Trinity doing side-quests. Before everything...
Wow Debra Winger and John Lithgow looking so young... Terms of Endearment.
The little kid is a real one. Understood the struggle at a young age. The type of person you'll want in your foxhole in the future.
Once back in the day, in Kmart, I was in line buying a bra. I had a debit card and there was plenty of money in the account but for whatever reason the card machine glitched when I ran it through. So the rude checker, a woman who looked in her forties, held up my purchase and said loudly, “You don’t have enough money to buy this bra!” Everyone in line saw it. I remember being embarrassed for her, not for me. What a douche.
John lithgow for the save let’s go, fucking love that man
I did not know Arthur Mitchell is doing side quests as well
If I had done that to my mother in public, I would've got my ass pounded into sawdust when we got to the parking lot.
The same people who jump at the chance to tell you this is a made up scene intended to make you upset... are the same people who jump at the chance to behave exactly like that cashier.
Some people in the comments i hope u never have to go through that have some empathy
this movie made me cry when I was young when her kids saw her in the hospital for the last time. Now I have two boys and it wrecks me. great film
Ive been on both sides, without enough money & a cashier with a customer without enough money.... I was compassionate in both.
