I cannot imagine why having a touchscreen would provide improved utility. All I can think of is all the fingerprint smudges that people are going to complain about.
These videos are great untill you realize anyone can come up with a wish list and call it "everything we know so far" with no bases on any of it
I don't see the point in touching a screen when we have a freaking trackpad half a centimeter from the keyboard.
Please, you all keep pressing on that the Design of the MacBook Pro is getting old. Its a solid design that functions well. Remember the versions before the M1 where the keyboard was a serious problem.
I just want a 27in iMac with M5.
imagine a laptop with half terabyte of ram.
A MacBook Air with a cellular chip would be the ultimate business laptop.
Sounds cool, but I have ZERO interest in touch screen capabilities in a laptop
A touchscreen Mac would be cool, but I don’t think I would use it. OLED definitely has me intrigued though.
couldn't they just make this update for the macbook pro?
Who cares about a touch screen on a Mac?
i cant belive that the name: "macbook ultra" will work, becuase the "macbook pro" is too iconic
If they have a touch stcreen I really hope they have a setting to turn it off (because that's what I'd do first-thing)
I hope new CEO will scrap any touch screen laptops
100% they'll call it MacBook Studio
I think Jobs was absolutely right about arm fatigue. Having a touch screen on a laptop that doesn’t convert to a tablet seems pointless to me
Still like our TouchBar MBP, with 32GB| 2TB| highest CPU upgrade, running like a champ, only missing MagSafe… Holding out for the return of the TouchBar. Touchscreen, is a mistake, likely problematic having a deleterious effect… 😏
A Studio M5 Ultra 512 or 1 tb ram would be more interesting
Unless the current M5 pro gets a discount, there is no need to wait for this.
I went ahead and bought an M5 max, maxed out. I needed the performance for an application that I'm working on, right now. Also, I figured that the first year of a complete redesign can be problematic, with issues like defective keyboards. So, if the M6 has substantially better performance, I may trade up, but only after the new design has proven itself. The second year seems like a good time to buy. Or, I might get a Mac Studio with an M6 if it has banger performance.
