I WILL NEVER SAIL ON THIS CRUISE LINE NOW. A cruise line has a new policy which makes me think I will never sail on this cruis eline again. Costa Cruises Lines. Smoking allowed on your balcony. But $65 fine for bringing a cookie back to your room. Hmm…
Read the rules about prohibited clothing beforehand. Their country; their rules
Camouflage clothing has been mentioned multiple times by various YT creators. People need to be more aware and responsible for their actions
Camo colored clothes are banned in a lot of countries...you can find some in Europe and Asia...it's just best not to bring camo on any vacation when traveling outside of North America. I am sure the parents were embarrassed but I thought it was a pretty well known rule, but apparently not.
As far as the child being escorted back to the ship to change - Would those parents prefer that their child was arrested instead of being told to change? On many of the Caribbean islands that ban camouflage is because that is military clothing and it is illegal to wear it if you are not in active military service.
I take a plate to my room, for my 90 year old mother, after a busy day of excursions.
Don, it's my understanding that the Camouflage has been banned by these countries because it is being worn by drug cartels and gangs and rogue armed militant member. I believe it started in the 1990s!
No costa for me either
It’s called reading all your cruise information, whether online or in paper.
I’m with you! I am elderly and I often bring a sandwich and some cookies to have when the venue has closed. I keep the sandwich in my refrigerator and the cookies are great to have when taking my bedtime meds. You pay for the food and experience. That would be a great way to keep people from traveling on your cruise line!
I totally agree that the parents should have known about the camo restriction but I want to know why he was let off the ship wearing it in the first place.
We recently cruised on NCL and we were told to NOT put our dishes in the hallway, need to call room service and have them pick them up.
The ships make numerous announcements regarding the camo wear and explain exactly why. People need to pay attention to what is happening in the places where they plan to travel. You don’t want to be mistaken for an armed militant member at the beach. 🏖️
We learned the hard way. If you are at any all interested, keep reading 🤓 I believe 🙄🤔 it was Barbados? We had an ATV excursion all planned out. Now they always recommend wear long pants, joggers because obviously ATV involves dirt, puddles, etc. We start going down to get the group, my hubby decides to wear cargo camo pants. That did not go well. Once we got to the outside, security was all over it. "Sir? You need to go back inside and change your pants, camo not allowed. " I looked over, and said "you best fly through all the people because we're not going to make our excursion" 🤦🏼♀️ And, there I am waiting ⌚ hoping he managed to sift through, take the stairs, elevators, whatever means, to make it down and head on over. But yeah. This was 🤔 about 20..ish years ago? But yeah. Don't TAKE ANYTHING CAMO anywhere. Even if it's not in the fine print. 😉
The last carnival cruise I was on they announced multiple times about camo clothes and not to wear them
I sailed twice with Costa, both cruises were the worst of our app. 70 Ocean Cruises. Never again - every penny for that line is a penny too much.
I can only imagine the slobs that made it necessary to have rules about not taking food out of the dining venues
Costa wasn’t for e before and definitely not now!
My only problem with the camouflage story is that the line let them walk off the ship like that. With that said, rules are the rules even if the line doesn’t catch it.
My favorite place to eat dinner is in the public bathroom. Guess that's going to be a problem now.😅😂
