Ben Foster shares the hilarious and relatable reality of what actually happened when he signed for Man United. Despite joining one of the biggest clubs in the world, he was still sitting £2,500 deep in his overdraft and couldn't even pay for a family dinner, until he told his bank manager who his new employer was. Big news the bank doesn’t have any actual money either
Bro couldn’t be poor for just 1 more week
Ohh noo he had to wait a week to get his money
Bro ran out of United stories ages ago…
Something tells me if Mr Foster wasn't a premier league footballer, he wasn't going to get an extension on his overdraft. If the line was I just got a job as labourer or 'shelf stacker or taxi driver, can I have an extension on my overdraft to take my family out to dinner, the bank would have told him to fuck right off.
These footballers are so far from reality
People who say money can’t buy happiness have never been poor and suddenly not have to worry about finances anymore. It’s when you get too rich that finances become problematic again. I’ve had a job where finances were comparatively absurdly good, now I’m back to “everyday life” with a more rational salary and I have to think about my purchases again. I like my life with the current situation better, but oh dang was it fun to earn 4x my usual salary for a while.
no money with a 2.5k overdraft? what a clown 😂 not to mention he was a bang average goalie
I had a HSBC premier account once. Those were the days 😂
The same thing happened to me but I was signed to Netley Abbey "B" Team and they showed me the door 😂
Don’t footballers get paid weekly.
-2.5k going out to eat
And we wonder why the 2008 recession happened. Banks lending money they didn’t have to people without thinking lol
Looks to me he is gambler
Poor you. In the UK you have to wait a week… bless your little heart
Credit card would have been useful!
Ben Foster's a tedious bore. How long can you possibly dine out on these shitty anecdotes...?
HSBC did a devil thing there, giving you more line of credit...if he was solid he would have just given you a soft short term loan, maybe 500 or 1k. Then the new cards and stuff you would come in and decide for yourself after your money came in. But then again I dnt know what condition this new shiny card came with
Still looking for Scott McDonald's lob 😂
Fastest way to go broke, keeping up with the jones 🤦🏾♂️ family would have been happy with a take out and a movie
