Montreal didn't need to continue the onslaught from the first period because they did what they needed to do in the first. They had a 3 goal lead and decided to defend instead of pushing forward. When they shut down Carolina in the second Carolina had nothing left in the third. They were deflated. Montreal's hockey IQ as a team is above reproach. Almost every player has the ability to think fast and know where their team mates will be. Usually that comes with years experience but for Montreal it is awe struck since this team is just finished rebuilding. It is incredible how they are so mature.
Youngest team in the league and waiting in the wings, just to name a few, is the MVP of the World Junior Championships, the 2026 WHL player of the year and another young Russian breaking records in the KHL. Whose records? Demidov! The Hab haters are in for a depressing decade. π
The Habs are a better team than people realize. Despite major problems in goal this season (Monty), they've still racked up 106 points.

Diehard bruins fan β¦I start noticing this habs team inn the middle of the season and was like wait something is special about this team and thereβs fun to watch! I called it in the middle of the season I said the habs could win it all if they get past some certain teams. Tampa and buffalo were the wins I knew they could pull off but also all I needed to see to know that they WILL take it all the way.
