I’ll never forget checking into my first marine unit as a Corpsman. I just checked in and when it was lunch time, I sat at a random table in the chow hall and out of nowhere, AJ (who I just met at the unit a few hours earlier) recognized me as one of the new guys, grabs my food tray and said “Recon eats together over here” and so I did for the rest of my time there. AJ was always a solid dude.

Was told by an ex SAS sniper to always take a round at some point and get your own name engraved on it. That way the only bullet with your name on it already belongs to you.

That Battalion Commander was Col Pat Looney, great guy. He was pictured on the cover of SOF magazine holding the round talked about in this video.
Aka, my man did a cool thing so the whole unit is getting hype about it. Mandatorily, if the commander is any decent.
