As a husband and wife team myself those numbers are straight doo doo. Just $1300 a week a driver?! Highway robbery. If they are running 70 hour weeks to get that pay: if you worked a job at McDonalds making $15.29/hour and you worked 30 hours of overtime to match those hours worked, you would make just as much flipping burgers.

They switch off and on. When 1 10 hour ride is up and they gotta sleep for 10, the other rides for their 10 hours. It’s better for the company and them, bc they stay moving more. It’s not paid per load which he’s thinking. It’s paid per mile/per hour. Per person
They are limited to how many hours each driver can do at a time. Having 2 drivers in one truck essentially allows it to run 24/7 if I am not mistaken.
