When you’re sliding on ice, turn hard into the curve. It’s counter-intuitive but it will help you stop. It has saved me from a collision on a steep icy hill.

For all you non winter folks, let off the brake you cant turn or have any control if your tires are locked like that. Let off the brake and avoid a collision or find the least impactful thing to run into.
