Following a months-long investigation, Gregory Pree was booked at the Summit County Jail on charges that include aggravated vehicular assault, operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, and driving without a valid license. According to court documents, Pree had cocaine and amphetamine in his system. I didn't see any comments mentioning what had actually happened so I thought I'd share this report I found. I had been assuming he may have fallen asleep at the wheel, but apparently there was much more to it. I hope this helps anyone wondering how or why it happened. Edit update: Gregory Pree, the driver of a dump truck who was involved in a crash last year that led to an explosion on I-77, was sentenced to 5 to 7.5 years in prison Tuesday 25th of July. Edit II: The victim of this crash was a 65 year old male. According to reports, he has now made a near full recovery.

Moral of the story: Don’t rear end a propane-fueled vehicle.

I couldn't imagine just chilling on the shoulder one second, and then the next just literally exploding.

I’m glad they’re safe, but Ohio has to stop with these situations.
