I’ve always thought of it like this: F1 is like neurosurgery or plastic surgery. Ultra fine and precise to the millimeter, everything done perfectly, though in a controlled environment. Rally is like being a trauma surgeon on the battlefield. You don’t have to be precise but you still have to be damn good and you’re in a warzone.

Kalle Rovanperä is also just 23 years old today and is a double, back-to-back world champion. So he decided this year to share the teams third car with Ogier and drive just some of the races. Dude is 23 and already taking a break because he completed WRC. Amazing driver.

for the record, just because they make f1 drivers look like amateurs it doesn't mean f1 drivers are amateurs, it's just a different skill set. problem is f1 cars have so much downforce that driving on the limit looks like your average trip to the supermarket
