We cross shopped the F150 and Tundra. We need to tow a travel trailer and take lots of stuff camping so payload matters and the F150 has substantially higher payload. We ordered the F150 with the 5.0L.
I cross-shopped both trucks last month, with the F150 in STX trim and the Tundra in Sr5 as I’m a simple guy that don’t need all the bells and whistles. The F150 interior impressed me better, as well as the flat floor in the back. I inquired with the Toyota salesman regarding the engine issues if they are still present in the 2026 models. He replied with “we’ll give you a 10 year warranty.” I ended up with the STX equipped with the 2.7. Toyota salesman didn’t even call or message after I finalized my deal.
Good start but many functionality misses. Load flat floor. No step in bumper. No tow hooks. No auto 4wd. Interior ranks behind ram and Ford. Get feeling toyota hasnt been transparent about root cause of engine problem.
F-150 for sure!!!
One thing I've noticed, is that I prefer the steel bumpers of the F150/Chevy/GMC/Ram over the molded plastic bumper caps Toyota chose to employ. The don't look flimsy and I like the chrome finish better. My 2 cents on the comparo.
The Tundra just doesn’t look quite right. The Sequoia looks a lot better. Interestingly, I also think the 4Runner looks way better than the Tacoma. The trucks look too plasticky.
Toyota has really made a mess of the Tundra. If I were looking to get another half ton, it would be Ford or RAM
I prefer the f150 Lariat.

Great vid man. Ram is the only truck that can compete strongly with the F150. Light bar built in is cool and those seats look nice in the Toyota. The F150 is so much better in almost every way.
My Sierra just turned 272k miles and looks new still. I put a LS6 and Circle D Transmission in it and will drive it until it just won't. I don't need another Mortgage Payment!
F150 with the 2.7l ecobeast is my choice.

An unreliable and expensive Tundra is not a competitive choice imo. Toyota had the time to get it right but how on earth did they forget about the tow hook, the hybrid generator, the flat floor and under seat storage when ford had the truck for years is beyond me. The build quality is also bad, I test drove 2 platinum in 2022 and 2024, 2 years they still have rattles, wind buffeting and non functioning rear dome lights, 2 out of 2 sample size is really bad lol and I’m a from a toyota family
I bought a truck last month and looked at the tundra. The gas mileage sucks. On doing a test drive on the interstate at 70 mile an hour. The best I could get was 13 to 14. This price was 63 for a limited sale price was gonna be 70. The dealer fits all this crap on there that you don’t need plus a market adjustment. Maybe all dealers don’t do it, but this one did.
I'd take the f150. I wish they would get a different transmission. Good thing for Ram sales though 😅
That Toyota is really not very good looking. Man they can't compare to gm ram and Ford when it comes to looks
I had owned Fords all of my life until I bought a '25 Tundra and I will never go back. A tiny percentage have had problems, but if it does Toyota will take care of it and I will get a new free engine. My last F-150 was developing the all too common phaser death rattle and was going to cost thousands to fix. All I see on video comment sections are posts about the Toyota recall, as if no other company has serious issues.
Trading my garbage F150 in for a Tundra right now. Can't wait to get rid of my problem child.
Tundra ll day because I want it to last more then 70k miles.
