Have you had an important relationship end and felt a bit stuck on how to move on? Clinical psychologist Dr. Antonio Pascual-Leone calls this “emotional baggage” or “unfinished business” and speaks about a 3-step process that could help you wrap things up and “finish the feeling”. Antonio is a clinical psychologist and associate professor at the University of Windsor, where he trains psychotherapists and is director of the Emotion Change Lab. He has received several career awards from international societies (2009, 2014), distinguished publication awards from associations in US and Germany (2010; 2016), and is an honorary research professor at the University of Lausanne (Switzerland). In addition to 14 years of university teaching, he has given over 35 clinical workshops around the world and received several more awards for his teaching and mentorship (2016; 2018), recognizing his leadership in education and his innovation teaching psychotherapy skills. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx

When you wake up after a break up and it just hurts to even exist.
Those 3 seconds of when you wake up in the morning and then remembering it and starts hurting all over again
The hardest part isn't moving on but not wanting to move on
The worst part about a breakup is when you know in your heart it's for the best.
Thumbs up if you're heartbroken in quarantine 💔
If you’re reading through these comments. Trying to gather your life back together after someone’s ripped a chunk of your heart away. I hope you’re healing and that life brings you so much happiness. I’m on day 2 of the worst heartbreak I’ve ever felt. We got this
Its like one minute im okay ..the next minute im tryna drown out flashbacks.. Idek man , cant vent to nobody so im pouring my heart here.
One of the hardest things in life is grieving for someone who is still alive.
the hardest part is knowing that I'm hurting so much, and knowing that he's doing fine.
Saddest comment section ever.. Hugs everyone we will get through this. Update: I remember writing this and I was in so much pain, it gets better guys the pain is gone and I'm good now.
Crazy how a heart break really makes your heart hurt. Being in public holding back tears for hours at a time will dim anyone’s light.
I never knew you could feel physically sick from a breakup
Going from the routine of talking/texting every day, seeing one another often, to suddenly and abruptly not ... That's always been the hardest part for me to adjust to.
I'm going up and down. One minute I'm fine, the next I'm pissed off, the next I feel like crying. Is hard especially when you've genually loved a person and they hurt you deeply. I'm a man. Tougher than a lot of people but she made me cry. Everyone hurting, you're not alone. Thanks for sharing everyone.
after reading some of the comments is it bad that it feels good to not be the only one?
I feel so heartbroken to have to end things with my ex. We both knew it was what we needed. I love this quote: “You cannot suddenly stop loving someone. But you can slowly start learning to live without them.”
I’ve got to say, the hardest part of a breakup is losing that feeling of closeness and security. Like your best friend just died.
Hey random stranger! Someone is out there waiting for you! Stay strong! Love exist!❤️
Dealing with a breakup in quarantine. I feel so hopeless, I have no one to talk to about it. I thought he was going to be my future. I feel so lost now...
You dont actually miss your ex, you miss the idea of the intimacy, the intimacy you had with your ex. The idea of her? Not the real thing
