The 6 pounds of chicken turned out to be 14 pieces. That's double what I need for the week, so it will last much longer. The potatoes were also "rationed" and are also double, so this is actually for 2 weeks worth of food. The Safeway by me has 8 pieces cooked, baked, bbq, or fried chicken (in the cold case) for $5.99. It’s impossible for me to buy a whole chicken, batter it, season it and fry it or cook it, for $5.99. So I eat a lot of store cooked chicken when times are tight.
Please do not make yourself nervous with BP It goes up and down. Within range depending on age. Keeping healthy diet, moving, staying content and practicing gratefulness.
Ive never seen groceries as cheap as you get them.
Our Meijer store had family packs of hamburger for $2.49 a pound!!! I stocked up!!
I'm in Virginia. I think I've hit the jackpot when I find potatoes for $2.50 for 5 lbs.
I just got a cold rotisserie chicken from Walmart yesterday for $3.97. I don't think I could get a raw whole chicken for that price, and it is plenty for 1 person for a week.
Fix a BIG pot of Chili and freeze. Buy a LARGE Roast for BBQ. These will last for weeks (instead of one week) and freeze it. Great go to meals already prepared.💜
The helicopter is following you Prepper Princess because word got out you have a stash of candied pecans lol! Awesome video!! ❤😊
You Go girl! You can scramble eggs, put in ice trays, or silicone. Freeze. Can use later. Egg for egg! One fabulous tip I received from you is the dilution of liquid detergent. Have saved tons of $$. Thank you!🥰
Stress is number ONE cause of high blood pressure.
They say California is so expensive. I’m in north Georgia and my prices are quite a bit higher on all those items😮
We are going to have to learn to live like our grandparents ......maybe our great grandparents . Great video 👍✌️
You are so inspiring!!! Thank you for helping us in so many ways. You are appreciated very much.
I don’t usually comment, but watch and like your videos and love your channel! Speaking of your blood pressure being a little high, I know you mention that you drink a lot of coffee. You may want to try decaf coffee instead of caffeinated. I had to change over for this very reason and found It doesn’t taste any different and can make a big difference in your blood pressure. Just an idea! Take care!❤
It’s insane to hear your prices. New Hampshire has everything shipped in because of weather. $6.99 for a lb of cherries today 🍒 we definitely do not have the affordable options you do 😔
I just adopted my Howdy Girl. She is the sweetest dog! It’s such a blessing to have our darling pets!
Drumsticks have been great deals lately.
Walmart has rotisserie chickens that can only stay in the warmers for about 2 hours and if not sold go to the refrigerated chicken section and sell for $3 each. I debone them and get right at 4 cups of chicken. If I bought one warm, I would eat a slice and refrigerate it for several days until I use it up on meals, casseroles, or salads, or freeze for later. That $3 feeds me all week or makes a casserole for a big family meal. They dont always have them as most rotisserie chickens are sold on time. When I find them in the cold section at Walmart, I buy 2 or 3 of them and debone and freeze the 4 cupsof meat I get per chicken for later weeks when they dont have any. My best savings deal in 2026.
Hunt spaghetti sauce is like the cheapest that’s what I always bought like a dollar for a big jar and for one person that’s gonna go a long way probably four meals anyway get that you can always freeze it and I would suggest you getting a very small chest freezer which are like under $200 and freeze and stuff so you have it as a backup if you’re worried about shortages and that that’s what I do
If you buy on sale long enough you only need to purchase the lose leaders and on sale at great prices. I don’t need to buy chicken as we grow our own but I saw a great sale at Safeway a few weeks back when they had a big 50% off sale. That’s when to buy. My son make a pork roast the other day in the crock pot. Lots of vegetables I think it lasted us 3-4 days. For 3 of us. I don’t think everyone ate it both lunch and dinner but it was delicious and very inexpensive.
