In the end bungie was the d2 killer
Thank you Paul for the years of coverage. Appreciate you
Having your last story update to be a Star Wars collab is both a tragedy and a comedy
"Marathon won't affect the development of Destiny 2"
Remember everyone, D2 died so that good ol' Pete could have his classic car collection
If Marathon succeeds: Destiny dies If Marathon failed: Destiny dies It was inevitable. They should’ve wrapped up with The Final Shape.
In retrospect, Pete Parsons definitely left in August because he knew this was coming.
It's too bad that the final shape of the game involves Darth Vader running around the game forever.
D1 ran so D2 could walk so Marathon could fall down a flight of stairs
That built up momentum suddenly slammed to a halt
I haven't played in over a year...and it still hurts. This was the most connected I ever was with a game or a community...and it just sucks that it came to this. Thank you, Paul, for all of your time, energy, and effort in covering this game. We are all so grateful to have shared this with you over the years.
Destiny died so Marathon could also die 🫡
You’re telling me I endured Matterspark for nothing? Am I a joke to you?
The Worms sought more and more tribute until nothing was left to devour but themselves. Eyes down, Guardian.
d2 being sacrificed for marathon and dying with a whimper is so bizzare
Am I surprised: No. Does it still hurt: Heck yeah it does. Despite the flaws, thanks for the years of fun Destiny.
Yeah I have no words. I’m just really sad. It’s been an incredible journey, thanks for the memories y’all
Crazy. I can’t remember the last time a game franchise as big as Destiny collapsed this hard. Went from peak player counts to death in a year and a half. Absolutely shame.
What makes me utterly mad, is that they fixed the majority of the pain points, just to abandon the game? Just stupid specially when their new "main game" is literally doing worst than D2....
And audible, visual, and textual, punch in the gut from someone who bought a console just to play Destiny 1, and never stopped.
