Турниры Большого Шлема проводятся под эгидой Международной теннисной федерации (ITF) , а не отдельных организаций, организующих мужские и женские теннисные туры — Ассоциации профессиональных теннисистов (ATP) и Женской теннисной ассоциации (WTA), — однако и ATP, и WTA начисляют рейтинговые очки на основе результатов игроков. Официальный язык - английский, в том числе и интервью у теннисистов после матча нужно брать по-английски. Франция нарушает правила ITF, проводя турнир на французском и беря интервью на французском. В том числе и это открытие турнира (пусть и не совсем официальное) было целиком на французском. Как бы там ни было - в первую очередь, это неуважение ко всему теннисному миру - это не французский турнир, а Открытый Чемпионат Франции - главное руководящее лицо не Амели Моресмо, а International Tennis Federation. Все надписи должны были быть на английском. Ужасное неуважение к теннисному миру - немцы и итальянцы, румыны и испанцы всё проводят на английском. По традиции, судья на вышке на матче говорит на языке страны. И больше никак - интервью на корте на английском. Иначе это и нарушение правил ITF и просто грубое наплевательское отношение к зрителям во всём мире. Неприятный осадок от этого шоу - на корте Джокович и Свитолина, Бен Шелтон и Донна Векич, Зверев и Синнер - и все мы слушаем исключительно французский. Это не частная вечеринка, а часть турнира. Зрители ESPN+ и HBO Max Eurosport (официальных и самых главных броадкастеров турнира) тоже обязаны слушать только французский на турнире международного уровня???!! Ведущий этого открытия (или шоу) мог бы обращаться к зрителям и теннисистам на английском - официальный язык всех турниров большого шлема. И Франция не исключение.

A very moving, fun, and loving event to honor Gael. But the small screen with the english commentators was unnecessary; they were the irrelevant and, frankly, boring part of the broadcast.
