FUN FACT: Montreal has been the underdog in every one of their last 10 playoff Series ... They've won 8 of them.
Suzuki has been kind of struggling thats why he has 13 points like mackinnon .
9:45 Suzuki isn’t producing, right. Just 13 points in 14 games. Ew.
Further proof that when finally people watch our games they stop saying Hutson is a liability on defense. It’s an instant tell if they watch or just go with a narrative.
CHOOO CHOOOOOO! LANE TRAIN!
Would Andersons save % be 950 if the hurricane played TB and BUFFALO ?
Slaf is hurt.
11:20 The Habs are getting healthier, but this is also arguably the first time during Rod Brind'Amour's tenure in Carolina that the Canes have ever been this healthy going into an Eastern Conference Final.
I don't know why no-one is giving Arber Xhekaj his props. Sure, he hasn't been playing a bunch of minutes so far, but he's played all but one (I think), he's been a +3/4 leads the team in hits (44) despite the lack of ice time, and they were usually BIG hits. He also got some points, one coming from his first playoff goal and does keep the opposing team thinking twice when he's on the ice. Not to mention he seems to be absolutely loved by his teammates ...I mean the reaction when Arber score was almost as big then Newhook scored to end the series. He's only been getting better the more he plays (as you should), and who knows... he could be a Weber 2.0 with his size and hitting ability, never mind his deadly slapshot that's only a hair slower than Weber's, even scored through the net like Weber too. He's been one of my favourites up there with Suzuki, Caufield, Anderson etc.
Love that the narrative on round 1 vs Ottawa has gone from them being a really tough out and the Canes being extremely unlucky to have to play them, to now them being an awful team who Carolina was destined to demolish Hindsight bias is a hell of a thing
Glad to see Slavin getting his due
Guys remember these guys are tor fans Suzuki with 13pts in 14 games is awesome production Do we expect or wish for more yes but teams win championships That being said we would be lying saying we don’t want that top line clicking more
2:09: Yeah but lets be honest Tampa & Buffalo are much more scarier than Philadelphia & Ottawa lol.
If it goes 7, it's another game 7 road win for the Habs. The Canes have not faced a Center like Suzi, a 50 goal scorer in Cole, a Dman like Hutson, and a goalie like Dobes. As for Andersen having better stats than Dobes, so did Lyon before playing the Habs last round. This should be another great series.
The fact that these clowns confidently say Suzuki isn't producing, yet he has 13 points in 14 games, just shows how clueless they actually are about their team, other teams, and hockey in general.
LANE HUSTON!!!!!!!
watch montreal win a cup in a couple years and flip danault to the leafs for a first
As a Canes fan I'm just scared we're going to get goalied again. But at the same time, this team just feels different.
3:44 LANE HUTSON 😂😂😂 you killed me
It’s gonna come down to Carolina’s top line. They’ve been pedestrian through the 8-0 start, if this cold streak for Aho/Svech/Jarvis keeps going, it opens the door for Montreal to do their patented “steal a game 2-1 where you get outshot by a million” escape act. If they start producing, it takes the focus off of the Stankoven/Hall/Blake line and I don’t think the Habs have the blueline depth to cover 2.5 scoring lines. Dobes doesn’t scare me, we’ve beaten the 3rd and 4th best goalies in the playoffs; we have the depth on paper beat the 2nd best (something the old teams that got bullied by Florida lacked), but everyone’s gotta pull their weight. Hope whatever’s been bugging Jarvis with that shoulder is a little ailed by the long break
