Jennifer Lawrenceโs performance in The Hunger Games series is a perfect reminder of how powerful subtle acting can be. She doesnโt need big speeches or over-the-top reactions to show fear, anger, trauma, or strength. Just through her eyes and facial expressions, she makes Katniss feel real, human, and deeply emotional. This scene is another example of why her acting in the series still hits so hard. #hungergames #jenniferlawrence #movie

It bewilders me how someone can fake such a visceral reaction like that. You can see her soul shrivel and die in her eyes. How do you fake such a fantastically grotesque and dreadful emotion?
All of these movies really show off Jenniferโs subtle acting since Katniss is a very reserved character. Winterโs Bone is another movie of hers with an amazing subtle performance, it was her first Oscar nomination
