Late last week, SpaceX quietly introduced a new Starlink Roam 300GB data plan at a very attractive $80/month price point. But as is typical with Starlink, new plan roll outs are often done haphazardly - and one change often indicates a cascade of other changes coming. And early this Saturday morning - Starlink began sending out email notices of price increases to existing customers. Except for the brand new Roam 300GB plan, all of Starlink's consumer plans are getting a price increase. ---------------- 🆒 💯 🥰 This video has been made possible by our premium members - for their support, they go further with our content, get interactive guidance & save 💲money with discounts. Just canceled my stand by I'm not paying $10/month for something sitting in a box.
I just canceled my standby. I only need Starlink a couple times a year. I’ll activate it again when I need it. The $80 300GB plan is good though.
I Canceled my Starlink don't need it that bad, tired of the unexpected price increases which has doubled in price. Starlink is no longer affordable.
Just canceled my standby as well. Not paying double the price for literally nothing.
Starlink is the big cable company of the sky. Frequent price increases or changes, plan modifications, restrictions are not something I like to see from my internet service provider.
Price increases for literal nothing.
Yup, I'm out on my mini I use 1 month a year of travel. I'll just go back to using my cellular data.
I just switched to Starlink, because my cable provider got greedy. Called to cancel cable, they gave me $30 a month, 500Mbps for 3 years. Not paying ~2x that for Starlink at 1/5 the speed, subject to outage in heavy rain (and FL is KNOWN for rain.). Call me in 3 years, Starlink!
This might backfire on Starlink and result in many cancellations.
Standby at $5 was worth it to have for emergencies (which I never once used). At $10 it defeats the purpose of and I’ll be canceling.
I cancelled my standby plan. A 100% price increase is ridiculous and I told them that when I cancelled.
I was upset when standby mode would no longer work while moving in a vehicle. Doubling the price now for worse service is a bridge too far.
If they would allow in motion use again on standby mode, I'd gladly pay it.
Yeah, I’ve kept up the five dollar fee even when I had the unit in the box for a couple months. But now I’ll go ahead and cancel.
I'll probably stop using standby, and just activate the 300gb plan when we take the RV out.
I look forward Amazon Leo. The mini will be really mini. You can actually hike with it. Prices are expected to be good.
That $80/300mb plan has hit the sweet spot for me. It will be saving me $1140/year, awesome.
Literally just got my mini last week. Idea of only paying $5 a month for when I dont need it was a big selling point for me.
I canceled
I just signed up for the max residential but will probably cancel and found a deal at att fiber 1k for $60 a month. Starlink was great but not liking the price increase
