I feel like every other computer person owned one of these HP Pavilions at some point, these were everywhere in the late 90s and early 2000s! Makes sense considering it cost as low as $149 with rebates. So let's dive into the 6535 model with its 466MHz Intel Celeron and see what else is inside, what's broken or missing, and what needs repair and cleaning and such. ● Here's the video from Billy about this system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQiddnNX-GM ● Background music is from Epidemic Sound: https://www.epidemicsound.com/ 00:00 Pavilion context 04:13 1999 models, pricing 07:45 TWO OF THEM 09:01 keyboard & speakers 11:56 power on, monitor tests 15:15 looking inside 16:23 spare parts 17:29 clean & rejuvenation 20:27 Windows 98 testing 24:49 Popgun Duke Nukem 29:03 Moto Racer 30:03 Nerf Arena Blast 32:26 addressing the sticker 33:24 Windows 2000 hard disk 35:18 15-inch CRT monitor 38:36 outroduction

First LGR video of this type in a long time. I can’t express how happy I am.
Bonus points for Techmoan cameo.
Such a comfy channel, been watching for years
just made pancakes, toast, and hot chocolate to start the day and an LGR hood classic gets uploaded the second i sit down
Clint, I just want to say the new warehouse/studio kicks ass and I'm stoked for you.
my step dad repaired computers as a side gig as well in the 2000s, i remember he told me he had a surprise for me around 2007 when i went to my dads for his weekend, i came home to this tower and matching peripherals on my desk. my very first tower. a year or so later he gave me a compaq, on which i found this channel!
This computer got me through college and at the time it was a great computer.
Shelves are looking nice and shelvey!
This was my first computer! I always loved the translucent plastic front - so 90s!
The moment I hear the intro music and your voice I'm immediately soothed
I work at an industrial embroidery shop and our only embroidery software runs off of one of these, seeing the thumbnail got me so excited.
I love the Techmoan product placement! Some of my favorite channels!
I had one of these! I convinced my Dad I needed I graphics card when I showed him Battlefield 1942 running and my M1 Garand was a single purple polygon
This was my first computer. Fully loaded p3 with a cd burner. I was a GOD at school.
"Pavilion", now, that's a name I have not heard in a long time.
As much as I love your restoration/build videos, this was great! Fascinating how cheap that computer was compared to how things were just a few years prior

With my YouTube feed being filled with doom and gloom these days, it's always refreshing to see a new LGR vid drop. Thanks again for brightening my day with some classic tech enthusiasm!
NO WAY!!!!! THIS IS IT!!!! This was the PC I grew up with!!! basically the same desktop model (I don't remember the exact model number but it had a different CD drive and it still had the floppy drive), monitor (ours was actually the M70 but close enough!), speakers, and all that jazz! We had a different keyboard but THIS! WAS! IT! I never in a million years thought I would see this on your channel!!
Dude, I can verify with every certainty that the on-board video for the Pavilions of that era was absolutely craptastic! My on-board video passed away roughly 6 months into my ownership experience. I bought it new from Sears in 1999, for the outstanding price of just 1,299.00. It came with everything a new owner would need including a Lexmark printer. An after-market video card did indeed fix all the crapiness as far as the video was concerned. Looking forward to seeing this old girl back together in a future video! Thanks for sharing!
