Legit cannot describe how great this game is. The amount of story and content here ON RELEASE alone could be a full game. The story is interesting and original while also staying true to the past 2 games. And the fact that what we have now is only 3/10 of the total content planned is crazy. Its so peak.
The counsil of water slugs is pleased with you
Nah, he just wants a hug, maybe 10 hugs 🦑
Its Jeremy the huggy squid! He wants nothing but hugs! Tho, a crushing hug.
i personally think the music makes it much more terrifying. just exploring the sea and hearing the musics makes me jump, cuz i dont know who or what is goign to attack me. it genuinely makes my skin crawl as soon as i hear that music
I love how they made the Collector Leviathan so intimidating without being copies of the Reapers... the thumping music, the vibe that it's stalking you, the bioluminescence to show that you've been spotted... the way that you CAN handle it with clever hiding and watching it's behavior? Absolutely spectacular! I hope they add new ways to distract or interact with it in the future!
Fun fact: collector leviathan can help you bulding, he is such a gentle man amirite? (of course its a bug when you are building something for example a corridor if he uses that sonic sonar thing it will insta build it, IDK if they fixed it or not but its funny)
Man I love when I'm chilling and then suddenly Cthulhu appears out of the blue and throws me into the abyss.
The collector is so well designed. They managed to make a fully unique leviathan which is really impressive!

The Iso blackbox at 45:09 is literally the coolest blackbox in this game. It so haunting and terrifying and Iso's calm demenor is the icing on the cake.
Squidward has gotten quite big...
For the collector, it's great to stay at like 10m because it's usually under 100m deep
I decided to scan the collector leviathan yesterday and I was traumatised by having to get close to it without my tadpole (I say decided but I didn’t really have a choice due to my mindset)
As I was playing the Subnautica 2, I suddenly felt sad. Years ago, when the first Subnautica came out, my best friend Arron told me to try it. I wasn’t sure at first, but I eventually played it—and I loved it. It changed the way I saw gaming, maybe forever. I even bought Below Zero in early access and enjoyed it, even though a lot of content was cut or reworked. Then the lockdown happened, and I never saw Arron again. I didn’t even get to say goodbye. So now, when I play Subnautica 2, I imagine he’s there with me.
Finally after 6 years he fed us 😭🙏
From my experience, the collector's territory extends a tiny bit into the hot biome, so he _can_ occasionally see you when you're at the tadpole pens on the side of them at the edge of the hot biome.
You need to scan the creatures *with* the bio-scanner to unlock the respective mods (It does say "bio-scan" in the prerequisite box) Also this would be funny and/or end horribly, but try using a flare to distract the squid. Should buy you time to move, or scan it
The first time I saw the "language knows no barriers" poster, I nearly cried cause it's an amazing heartfelt dedication that has continued from the first game.
5:56 with this game it has been confirmed that the subnautica universe is the same as the one in the natural selection series. In the game you would fight monsters that were different lifeforms ztaken over by an infection spread from infection carpets around the maps. It was previously thought the games were connected due to the fact that early on kharaa was orange in colour. Edit: spelling correction
