What I expected to JUST be an infuriating and funny playthrough turned out to be much, much more. Its 'machine-learning' NPC's were far more advanced than I ever thought possible, and my interactions with them dynamically changed the game in nonsensical and unbelievable ways. My journey alongside those 'self-aware' AI has long since concluded, but six years later, with all the recent hype over Half-Life 3/HLX, I felt nostalgic, and curiosity finally got to me: I returned. What I'd find... I could never have anticipated. hello! Slightly later than planned, but here it is! for my record though its not that late 😛 as mentioned at the end of the video, ACT 3 will be streamed on Tuesday, June 16th, @ 8pm EST! ACT 2 was recorded a week later than originally planned because a number of us simultaneously got very sick. we were STILL sick during this but toughed it out to make sure things kept rolling - so we integrated it into the 'plot' a little bit. Apologies for coughing sounds if you hate that kinda thing. Also, I tried a slightly different approach with audio balancing for this episode, mixing is by far the aspect of editing I struggle with getting perfect the most, feedback is appreciated. i love that Christopher and Gordon just angrily cough at each other. I like to think that Baaulp and Wayne blame each other for getting a really bad chest infection for a month when they went to go see Takanaka

Stain reminds me a lot of playing pretend as a little kid and making up scenarios where I was injured or dying or otherwise in danger for attention
I love that the second Stain does the sad walk emote Gordon immediately folds

I like to think that since Gordon has been in stasis since like the late 90s for nearly 20 years, his body hasn’t been exposed to any new germs so that’s why he’s sick in this episode.
everyone say thank you to mr. wayne for going through the most motion-sickness inducing part of the game while sick, and somehow managing not to vomit actually for real. this could've been a real fourth of footwork situation
The RTVS crew really were made to be npcs and a man just trying to stay sane while surrounded by the chaos of everything going catastrophically wrong in the world
I love how Gordon was in so much psychological distress over Stain feeding time he completely missed Addi getting shot to death
I really like how Breen occasionally appears and taunts the main characters. It allows him to be far more prominent and have more of a character.
